Apollo Astronauts Neil Armstrong, Gene Cernan, John Young, and Harrison Schmitt tour the Altair lunar lander human factors mockup that we built in Building 220 (Hangar X). This was my first project as a Space Architect at NASA JSC in Houston, TX. If you look closely, you can see us watching the tour.
To hear them describe their time on the moon and how the new lander would compare with the original LEM was absolutely amazing, and most of their conversation was caught on this video. Since then, I’ve never looked up at the moon without thinking of them.
